and have their doors open so immediately my downstairs neighbor looked at me and while laughing asked me what I was doing, I simply replied I was just curling my hair and it was nice out. It only takes me about five minutes to curl my hair so it went fairly quick but I felt myself becoming very self-conscious. I noticed how different I felt doing my hair in front of my neighbors compared to curling my hair inside the privacy of my own bathroom. Let me elaborate even more, when I get ready in my house I think about what I want to do that day, think about my friends, and all the stuff I need to finish by the

For the private/public space assignment I had a
hard time thinking of what to do, but I finally thought of something to
day. I tried to think of something I do in my own private space almost everyday, and it dawned on me I curl my hair in my bathroom on the norm. I thought it might be interesting to curl my hair outside my apartment building in the parking lot. So, I decided to attach an extension cord from my living room through my balcony down to the parking lot so I could fix my hair outside. I used the parked cars as my mirror by using my reflection through the car windows so I would not burn myself. My neighbors are always outside
eryone else and what I was doing. I never once thought about any of the normal things I usually think of when I'm all
by myself. I think my awareness changed how I felt about public space, and I realized how my thoughts change once I change from a personal/private space to a public one. It was pretty interesting.
